Odinex Cloud documentation
Guides and reference for servers, networking, storage, billing, the API, the odx CLI and the Terraform provider.
Odinex Cloud is a public cloud with virtual servers, block storage volumes, private networks, firewalls,
floating IPs and load balancers, run from the fra1 location in Frankfurt, Germany. You pay hourly from a
prepaid balance in euros, and no resource ever costs more than its monthly price in a calendar month.
Everything you can do in the console you can also do with the public
API, the odx CLI and the Terraform provider: they all use the
same API.
Getting started
Sign up, top up, add an SSH key and create your first server.
Billing
Prepaid balance, hourly charges with a monthly cap, and what happens when the balance runs out.
Networking
Public IPv4 and IPv6, private networks and floating IPs.
API reference
Every endpoint, generated from the OpenAPI specification.
odx CLI
Manage resources from your terminal and scripts.
Terraform provider
Describe your infrastructure as code with Terraform or OpenTofu.
How the platform is organised
- Account and organization. You sign up with an email address (or Google or GitHub). Your account has a personal organization that owns the prepaid balance, the limits and the billing documents.
- Projects. Resources live in projects inside the organization. A project groups resources, team access and API tokens. See Projects and API tokens.
- Location. Every resource belongs to a location. Today that is
fra1(Frankfurt, network zoneeu-central). See Locations. - Actions. Operations that take time (creating a server, attaching a volume) return an action that you can follow until it succeeds or fails.
