Cloud servers (VPS) on NVMe in Frankfurt

An Odinex cloud server is a virtual machine (VPS) with its own vCPUs, memory and NVMe disk, running in our Frankfurt location. You get full root access, a wide choice of operating systems or a ready-made app, and a server that is reachable over SSH within moments of creating it. It is billed by the hour and never costs more than its monthly price.

Key features

  • Five plan families

Standard, CPU-optimised, memory-optimised, dedicated-vCPU and storage plans, so you pay for the resource your workload actually uses.

  • Wide choice of operating systems

Current releases of the major Linux distributions and more, or a one-click app from the marketplace. SSH keys and cloud-init are applied on first boot.

  • NVMe storage

Every plan includes a fast NVMe disk. Add volumes for data that should outlive the server.

  • 20 TB of traffic

Every plan includes 20 TB of traffic per month, so bandwidth is not a line item you have to watch.

  • Resize when you grow

Move a server to a larger type, with or without growing its disk. Keep the disk size and you can scale back down later.

  • Rescue and browser console

Boot a rescue system to repair a server that no longer starts, or log in through the console in your browser.

What it is used for

  • Websites and APIs

Standard plans with 2 GB of RAM per vCPU suit web applications, APIs and most general workloads.

  • Databases and caches

Memory plans offer up to 8 GB of RAM per vCPU for PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis and other in-memory workloads.

  • Builds and workers

CPU plans give you more cores for the money for CI runners, queues, game servers and batch jobs.

Try it

Cloud servers: questions and answers

Clear answers about location, infrastructure and billing.

Is an Odinex cloud server the same as a VPS?
Yes. A cloud server is a virtual private server: a virtual machine with dedicated resources and full root access. Odinex adds hourly billing, an API and integration with private networks, load balancers and firewalls.
Which operating systems can I run?
You can choose from a wide range of operating systems in their current releases, or start a one-click app. The full list is on the operating systems page.
Can I change the size of a server later?
Yes. Power the server off and change its type. You can grow the disk with it, or keep the disk size so you can move back to a smaller type later.
Do I pay for a server that is powered off?
Yes. A server is billed while it exists, because its disk, addresses and capacity stay reserved. Delete it to stop the charges, after taking a snapshot if you want to keep its disk.
Where are the servers located?
In Frankfurt, Germany, in the fra1 location of the eu-central network zone.
